Co-produced with saxophonist David Binney, the album features a dynamic ensemble of forward-thinking improvisers: Devin Daniels (alto/soprano sax), Jake Chapman (vibraphone), Javier Santiago (piano/synth), Jermaine Paul (bass), and Ring himself on drums and vibraphone.
The music moves fluidly between personal tributes (El’s Tune, Joe), artistic homages (For Lyle, Helping Hand), and vivid portraits of lived experience (To Lift the Earth, Fleet Week). Each composition reveals a different side of Ring’s voice—playful, searching, grounded, and always full of heart.
